Once upon a time when I was younger...let's say in college I went on a mission trip to Oklahoma to help after an F5 tornado and help at a Vacation Bible School. Those who know me...know that I've never really been around children. I wasn't the girl who did babysitting to earn extra money...I just got a job. So during this 2 week experience I was really out of my comfort zone. I'm more comfortable around power tools and Home Depot than I would be teaching kids or at Babies R Us.
During this same time my best friend Melanie Jones was leaving for a semester abroad in Australia. I didn't get to hug her goodbye and really was missing her...I was upset that I didn't get to say "see ya soon". The scene starts with me being very sad and lonely....I'm walking down the hallway of the church were we are helping with VBS..for some reason there wasn't anyone else in the hallway at this time...I'm walking down the hall when all of a sudden a young girl comes racing down the hallway and throws herself in my arms (Glad I actually caught her) and she gave me the biggest hug jumped down and continued running down the hall.
Okay I'm crying again just thinking about the moment. I don't remember the little girl's name, but I know that God gave me a hug that afternoon. :-)

Progress...
First I apologize for not blogging until now...it's been a little crazy. Just wanted to post some pics of what kind of yard work clearing we have been doing. The plan is to plant new items in the fall.
Picture of size of evergreen bushes..there were 9 all together.
Result after taking the tops and most of the branches off.
That's all I could get one night after work...
The next night after work...
Our pile of debris that we've been gathering for about 2 months
We cut down the crabapple tree that was growing over the outbuilding
Debris is gone....Praise the LORD.
