A truce
So Katy and Rocky haven't always gotten along very well... Partly because as Rocky has grown and gotten bigger he would step on her when he backs up (no side mirrors) or she's kinda quick and she'll get under his feet. Typically, if Rocky is laying beside me...Katy will be coming up to make him move very shortly.
Well, Monday night I was watching DWTS and Rocky stepped up on the couch and laid down on the throw pillow....oh so cute. But to make this even cutier...Katy then jumped up (once she realized what was happening) and laid right between him and me.
Typically, she'll kind of growl at him until him moves...well I guess she was just too tired to try. Here's a pic of the event. Too adorable.

Living Room is done!
Here are the before pictures....
Here's the after...pretty much how Donnie and I have spent the last 2 weekends. The room is almost done and feels so great just to be in. The blue tape is for a future large screen TV...
Notice the Mirrored Ceiling fan....so weird...

Life and other crazy things
I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about life and some of the "opportunities" we are given. At my work one of the core values is "There's only Opportunity," unfortunately now when I here the work opportunity....my eye starts to twitch and the sarcasm is released.
But honestly...opportunities can be a great thing. An opportunity to love a friend with they are lonely by giving a hug or sending an encouraging letter (yes, via the USPS). An opportunity to learn a hard lesson that God's been trying to teach you...like patience when driving or realizing that He loves everyone of us...no matter if someone has hurt you or looks or smells different than you.
My family has had some opportunities lately and through those opportunities it makes me reflect deeper and trust God more in his perfect plan for my life.
1. Nana (Donne's grandma) having the fall and just now being able to go back home.
2. My sister having a job she hates, but in the process of interviewing at 2 other places to lose the current jobs she had. Now trying to pay 2 mortgages with a serving job. Please pray for her!
3. My brother still not having a job and is trying to pick up odd jobs to help just pay for gasoline in his truck to get to those odd jobs.
4. My mom who had foot surgery about 3 months ago and is still not back at work because she's not be medically released. She has had a paycheck since the surgery and is not eligible for short-term disability as she was part-time.
5. My husband making calls and appointments cancelling. The company delaying approving the underwriting on a life application for 2.5 months.
6....There's more but why depress anyone.
I do thank my Jesus for giving me the strength to love, to face opportunities, and for teaching me that He is all I need. Period.
