Rocky's Graduation

On October 2nd, Rocky graduated from the beginning training class at Pet Smart. He did great, but we all know that the training classes are really for the dog parents...we are the ones that take so long to get it right. :)   It was so cute and they even took a picture of him in a graduation cap. Check it out.

He's 11 months old now and probably about 95 lbs. 

Funerals & Friends

This fall has been beautiful, but honestly I haven't had time to truly enjoy it. With the constant work trying to get the house ready for winter, getting the furnance replaced and cutting down trees and bushes....there just doesn't seem to be time.

But on a good note there's been time to see a couple of dear friends I hadn't seen in a while. This weekend I had to go the funeral home 2 times for 2 different reasons. The first was for my father-in-law's side of the family on Friday right after work.

The second was much more heartbreaking for me. My former roommate before getting married, Susan's father passed away this past week and the visitation was on Sunday. Her dad was 62 and had been diagnosed with Aphasia (www.aphasia.org).  I can't imagine losing my dad at only 62.  My dear friend I will pray for you and your family.
