For those living in the Louisville Metro Area or Southern Indiana you know that we currently have three bridges that tie the areas together. My husband and I both work about 40 minutes from where we live. I would like to express my strong opinion that the East End Bridge should be built. Period. I will pay tolls because in the long run we'd probably save at least $150 a month on gas, plus wear and tear on our cars, and less use of our time. When the new bridge is built our commutes would cut in half. I know a lot of my readers live in Southern Indiana and don't have a lot of occasion to cross to the other side...but hear me out.
I know that the news has shown people protesting the tolls. However, those people may or may not have to cross the bridge every day at least 2 times a day 5 days a week. I also kind of feel that since Louisville is trying to be bigger city than it already is and every BIG city has a bypass...why not build the east end bridge and then connect the other side of I-265 (in Indiana) and the I-265 (Gene Synder in KY) and create a bypass that all truckers, etc would need to use AND not reconfigure spaghetti junction. I truly feel that if there was a bypass there'd be less wrecks on the bridges, less individuals would have to route through downtown before heading the direction they actually need to go, and help motivate growth habitationally and commercially around the surrounding areas.
OK...that's my point of view. BUILD THE BRIDGE. I'll PAY MY TOLLS.

Babies, Babies, Babies
No, I'm not pregnant,
but I'm really excited about some upcoming new arrivals. Yesterday I went to the horrible store to those who are not mothers called "Babies R Us"....okay so I know that you are all about babies....but I know very little about babies and going to that place and finding a gift on a dear friend's registry is truly an act of love. :-). I stroll aimlessly looking at the list, the product (which I think is what they wanted), and what aisle am I on again. Anyways...I went to Babies R Us yesterday as two of my friends are expecting to receive their gifts from God in the next couple of weeks.
One, Katherine, is expecting identical twin boys and the other, Donna, is expecting to pick up her adopted little girl from Ethiopia (Zoey Hiwot Brown) in about a month. Donna and her husband Justin arel also be adopting a set of brothers (ages 3 & 4) from Ethiopia, but are awaiting approval from the court (please pray for them as they've been in this process for these two precious boys for over 2 yrs.)
I pray that the arrivals of each of these little ones is filled with joy and restful, peaceful nights. God bless you two!

Spiritual Hunger
Let me just say I miss having a Sunday School class and at the Indiana Campus of Southeast they have Community Groups, but no Sunday School in the tranditional sense. I've been craving learning and have finally had the opportunity to join and study the Discipleship Curriculum for Women. Here's some of the details.
A 21-month program of Bible study, Bible reading, and Bible memorization (although you're only asked to commit to the first 10-week semester - DC 101). A guided self-study through material designed to enhance a woman’s walk with Christ and empower one to be a more effective leader within the kingdom of God.
A systematic walk through a set of topics, skills, and experiences that will encourage a woman to become a more effective disciple of Christ. A program rather than simply a set of good lessons or a good Bible course.
TOPICS IN DC 101 (THE FOUNDATION)
• Character Traits of a Godly Woman
• God the Father
• God the Son
• God the Holy Spirit
• Intro to Scripture
• Overview of Scripture
• Law and History
• Prophets and Poetry
• New Testament
I'm excited and I know it will be a lot of hard work...but my spirit needs this.
