Introducing Jack Bow Wowwer

Okay...so most of you have heard me talk of Jack out dog. Let me tell you a little history of how we got Jack.  For the past couple of years almost every time Donnie and I drove by a Feeders Supply we had to stop....Donnie had been wanting a dog for quite a while and would know when he saw it...that the dog was supposed to be his.

It was around Easter 2008 and I'm visiting my sister for the weekend in ATL and buying wedding dress fabric.  (Donnie had not asked me to marry him, yet...but I was walking in faith. :)) In the meantime on Saturday mor
ning Donnie had stopped at Feeders "just to look" and I get a call on my phone asking
what my sister's cell number is so he can text me some pictures of a couple dogs. So for the next couple of hours I get two sets of pictures and most of them are of Jack. He's part collie and part lab and the humane society said "moderate energy". HA. Needless to say after a couple phone calls and to help me concentrate on the reason I came down to ATL...Donnie brought Jack home that afternoon.

Jack is a great dog and named in honor of Jack Bauer from 24.  He is high energy,
don't believe the humane society, and is a joy most of the time.

Here's the first picture of him,

a picture with Dad,

and a more recent one.

Welcome Spring

Yesterday Donnie and I had our first big cookout since we've been married. It has been amazing how much time to hang out with your friends you don't seem to have just because you move across a river and get married. Some people say that just happens when you get married and I can understand that to a point; but I truly think moving across the river has affected me spending time with my friends more.

I really do miss just being able to meet the girls right after work for a quick bite to eat or just to sit and catch up....but I do love my life.  I am so blessed with a loving husband who greatly respects my need of time with my friends and a lovely dog, Jack...who isn't so understanding. :)

Weddings

So my cousin is getting married in two days, and it brings back my memories of what all had to be done the week before I got married last September. It was a little crazy...because Hurricane Ike decided to take its toll out on Kentucky with over 500,000 people without power.  My fiance,
Donnie was without power the week before we got married.  So we packed up his printer and computer and moved it to where I was staying (because I still had power :)) to decide on the music for the ceremony, print programs, and finalized the slide show tribute to those who couldn't be there.

It was a crazy week, but it was worth every bit.  And I'm so glad that I followed the advice of friends and just enjoyed the actual day without stressing.  It goes by too quickly...
